* To many of you, including fellow artists, friends, and art patrons, you may be asking the question - ' What in the world is he doing having gone into also being a contractor in the remodeling business?' Simple answer -- a new chapter having evolved in my life around 8 years ago ------ I had to make a very difficult gut wrenching decision to lay the brushes down and do something else, at least for awhile. Skills and joy working with my hands, building things, with a readily available market for what I do, led me into the home remodeling business. It has actually been a enjoyable new adventure, and amazingly, the skills/experience in art and design have often entered into the picture while I stand with woodworking tools in hand instead of the brush. Have I lost my passion to do my art? Absolutely not. My goal is to someday get back to it, full-time, and, to continue with my quest to explore my best potentials in it. Art was and remains to be my greatest passion, and is a major part of who I am as a person. When the time comes where logistics and economics permit, I can once again set up my studio space, and be in a position to not have to be at the mercy of the art business (and many who predominantly control it) -- I shall return, guaranteed. Till then, I am keeping my iron in the fire by continuing to show and offer for sale my inventory of art on my gallery website, wonderments.com
